The Powder House Ski Shop
As the first ski shop in Utah, we are built on a passion for skiing deep powder particularly found at Alta Ski Resort. Over the years we have grown to have 5 locations; 4 locations slope side in Alta and one at the base of Big Cottonwood Canyon. We are still family owned and operated, and our passion for skiing, the mountains and spending time outdoors is what fuels us.
In our shops you’ll find the best gear to enhance your outdoor experience, custom boot fitting and state of the art ski tuning and repairs. We look forward to your visit!

Our goal is to enhance the Little Cottonwood Canyon experience. Each of our locations offers current season skis to demo as well as high performance rentals. Our demo fleet consists of leading skis in the industry. We feel confident you’ll find something to love. Below is a list of brands found in our demo fleet.

Though we’ve expanded beyond Alta, we still call this place home. Tucked at the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon, Alta is known for its diverse terrain, and its quality and quantity of snow.
We’ve got 4 convenient locations in Alta whether you’re staying at one of the lodges or just visiting for the day. You can also find us in the Valley; get a head start in the morning and stop into the Wasatch Powder House on your way to Big or Little Cottonwood Canyons.
